by | Apr 25, 2017 | RV Buyer's Guide

Nothing sounds like “family Summer vacation” more than a camping trip in Florida! According to Visit Florida, Florida Caverns Sate Park is the highest rated RV park, and for good reason. Read below to find out why this should be the next stop on your camping bucket list!

Florida Caverns State Park is a unique RV resort. It is one of the very few parks in Florida open to the public with caves that aren’t completely underwater. While staying here, you can tour the caves and see limestone stalactites and stalagmites, natural flowstones and draperies, and more. Tours are offered Thursday through Monday. There are also two nature trails that will take you to explore the rocky cliffs that tower over the river. Activities don’t stop there. Chipola River is located in the park where you can catch bass, catfish, sunfish, mullet and more. Rent a canoe or kayak and take in all the river’s wildlife such as herons, egrets, alligators, beavers, snakes and the list goes on!

Another thing that makes this RV resort different is the equestrian trail. Because this is an RV resort, you can also bring trailers and living quarters that carry your horses. The park has stables that you can rent out and a wash rack when you and your horses stay. You can go horseback riding on Florida Caverns State Park’s very own equestrian trail to explore near the river.

The park has 1,319 acres and 35 campsites that have electric and water hookups. Reservations can be made at ReserveAmerica or by calling (800) 326-3521. To find more RV resorts in Florida, visit RVUSA.
